NEW FEES CHARGE TO EMPLOYERS OF 457/TEMPORARY SKILL SHORTAGE/PERMANENT SKILLED VISAS AND INCREASE VISA APPLICATION FEES
Australian government will collect another two new charges from the employers of 457/Temporary Skill Shortage(TSS) and permanent skilled Visas, money will be put towards a fund to train Australian apprentices and trainees. The two new charges are
1) $1,200-$1,800 per worker per year(sc457 and TSS) and
2) $3,000-$5,000 one-off levy for permanent skilled visa(ie. sc186 or sc187)
The charges depend on the turnover of business. These two new charges replace the current structure of training benchmark’s requirement.
Besides, Visa Application Fees for all visas will be increased from July 1 2017 in line with inflation.
