The aged care institutions will be able to hire overseas caregivers, for providing the skills needed to care for the elderly in the community. And for the religious institutions, they can be allowed to hire overseas religious assistants. Even for the aged carer and religious assistant are not on the list of skilled occupations.
Under the new arrangement, the relevant agencies can hire and sponsor overseas workers to work in Australia through the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa 482 or the Employer Nominee Scheme Permanent Residence Visa 186.
