由2018年1月1日开始，新加坡人将可独家获得最新的长期多次入境访客签证，允许访客在六年内多次进出澳洲, 每次最长三个月的逗留期，而且只需要单次签证申请。
澳洲总理在新加坡的正式访问期间公布了这项新的签证方案，并且有意将进一步加强两国关系。
除此之外, 新加坡总理李显龙及澳洲总理特恩布尔还宣布，将于2017年8月1日开始实施新的互惠工作及假期方案，每年允许500名年轻人从澳大利亚和新加坡进行短期工作或学习。

By 1 January 2018, Singaporeans will have exclusive access to a new long-term, multiple-entry visa option which will allow travellers for up to three months at a time, over a six-year period, with a single visa application is required only.
The new visa option was announced during the Prime Minister’s official visit to Singapore, and will further strengthen ties between two countries.
Alongside Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister Turnbull also announced a new reciprocal Work and Holiday Maker programme will commence on 1 August 2017 to allow up to 500 young people per year from Australia and Singapore to undertake short term work or study.[:]
