STATE NOMINATION UPDATE

After an unexpected announcement of increasing the pooling and passing points from the Department of Home Affairs on last week, States and Territories have updated on their nominations for skilled visa.
ACT:
EFFECTIVE 4:00PM AEST FRIDAY 29 JUNE 2018:
Canberra residents:
• are eligible to apply for ACT 190 nomination if your nominated occupation is listed as ‘open’ on the current ACT Occupation List.
• are not eligible to apply for ACT 190 nomination if your nominated occupation is listed as ‘closed ‘on the current ACT Occupation List.
Overseas residents:
• The ACT 190 nomination program remains closed for overseas applicants without close ties to Canberra, and is now closed to overseas applicants with close ties to Canberra.
TAS
Apply base on working in Tasmania
The new requirement is now require you must have been working in Tasmania for six months immediately prior to your application for state nomination.
VIC
Nomination Lists updated on 30 June and 02 July 2018 respectively.
SA
Nomination Lists updated on 05 July 2018.
