The Department of Home Affairs remind applicants of Student Visa to lodge application at least six weeks prior to course commencement due to the peak lodgement period is approaching.
Upfront Documents
Upfront documents should be attached and sufficient information and supporting documents should be provided with the genuine temporary entrant(GTE) statement when lodging the visa in order to avoid unnecessary visa refusal.
OSHC
Overseas Student Health Cover(OSHC) should adequately cover the whole period of stay accompany with the visa application.
In-Person Services Home Affairs’ Offices
From late 2018, Home Affairs’ offices will only provide service to people who have a letter from the Department inviting them to attend an appointment. Normal enquiries of visas or citizenship can only be resolved online or by calling the hotline number of the Department.
